Final Project Proposal

For my final project I chose to write a short story. My short story will be about a teenager who experience a life similar to from rags to riches. But it isn’t that easy, he will experience everything from school trouble to street trouble. Which includes getting money which brings him friends, girls, and popularity. Then once he begin to shine a little harder than a lot of people everything and everyone turns into haters hating and even traders. The teen starts noticing these little strange things happening and starts to feel the change. He leaves it all and become lonely and by himself. But this loneliness isn’t a bad thing it’s a good thing he leaves everything alone and tries staying out of trouble now every body wants to question him. But he ignores it because he knows that everything isn’t the same as it used to be. Now he’s living on the edge and he doesn’t trust nobody, now people are starting to see the monster behind his smiling face. He goes from smiling to grinning, from grinning to frowning, and from frowning to grunting getting ready to bust. As time goes on everyone begins to notice his absence and everything isn’t so much fun without him unless it’s about him which is why he left in the first place. The big message that I want the reader to pickup is that sometimes what you think you like might actually come back and bite you in the behind. The reason I chose this topic is because I wanted to tell a story about how teenage life can be and all the struggles they go through. I also wanted to show that teenage life isn’t as easy as adults sometimes make it seem, and even though we are younger we may experience adult situations.

My Goals For This Class

My goals for this class are to improve my writing skills, and learn how to write different forms of literature. I’ve always been good at writing, but when it comes to writing stories I have a hard time finishing it. I really want to improve on how to write stories fitting in what I want to fit in without it being so long. Another thing I don’t like doing is using simple words to describe things that i want to express in a big way. I want to learn bigger and more effective words. I really just want to improve as a writer.

Fairy Tale Proposal

My monster is a metaphor for addiction and violence. My story will be about a monster who goes around starting things and is always in someone’s business. The reason why he does these things is because he is addicted to alcohol. He lets the alcohol effects his mind in a very negative way, in which he likes to fight and loves any kind of drama. As the monster goes around causing chaos his main goal is to affect people with his alcoholic saliva. Once he bites you, you are affected and now on his side. Everything was going his way until a hero named Dezstro comes and tries to save the day. So far this is what I came up with, I haven’t decided if I want the hero to save or disappoint the city.

Creating My Nonsense Poem

Creating a non-sense poem was a very good experience for me. Usually when I write poems or any forms of literature, the vocabulary I use is pretty basic. Creating a non-sense poem improved my vocabulary, and I experienced using words that I wasn’t familiar with. I was trying to portray stress in my non-sense poem. My poem is about a guy who’s wife died and he’s stressing that’s why he’s constantly drinking. In the poem he also burns his house down after a long day at the bar. Then he ends up in the middle of no where, his body gives in, and covered in mess.
